Satsang - 1

Here is the summary of our first Satsang held on 17th June 2005 Friday

1. During conducting any meeting, always let others speak first and dont give your judgement before hand

2. Quality decision making is important and it should be quick and not hasty !!

3. Never underestimate anybody and keep your antennas open. Ego is one which can block the antennas

4. Dont be mechanical in doing things, live each and every moment. Be alert.

5. Nevery apply constraints/assumptions while doing things as it blocks creativity .

6.All qualities are essential for any human being but they should be in proper proportions(SAMTVA)

7. You dont know when and from whom you would get your advice from.

Quote About Be Present:

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present.

—Babatunde Olatunji

My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy your ice cream while it's on your plate -- that's my philosophy.

—Thornton Wilder

From my experience Satsagns are to serve the following objectives:

1. Hear to diverse views and ideas from a group of people on the same subject.

2. All ideas and views are to be respected. We do discuss to get a better perspective of an idea or a view presented but IT SHOULD BE RESPECTED THAT EVERYPERSON HAS TO RIGHT TO HOLD HIS OWN IDEA OR VIEW VALID. Hence in Satsangs we do not debate which is right and which is wrong. There are no decisions taken in Satsangs

3. Satsangs help broaden our perspectives and change our paradigms.

4. In Satsangs the aim is to learn more from a group of like minded people. LEARNING IS THE ONLY OBJECTIVE

5. Satsangs are normally informal discussions, all positive and constructive and never is used to make a point or take a decision.

6. Right or Wrong are decided during formal meetings and so are decisions made only in formal meetings.
